Deforge was born in November 1997 with the Anonima Disastri
monicker by an idea of Ettorre brothers, Gaetano (guitar) and
Gianfranco (drums).
After a test period Domenico D’Eugenio join the band on the bass
guitar.
Once the first songs have been composed, Giovanni Caporaletti joins
the band on the second guitar and Gaetano attend to the vocal part.
With this line-up the band record the firt demo “Mankind Disaster”,
followed by some good live exhibition.
Personal problems take Gianfranco out of the band replaced by
Michele Melchiorre (Sothis founder and My Dark Sin drummer).
In May 2001 the band enter the Christian Ice’s “Temple of Noise
Studios” for the rocording of the second demo “Silent Terror Insise”.
After the recording Michele left the band for personal problems;
his substitute is Giuseppe Bracchi (ex Lost Dreams). In December
2001 Giovanni left the band. Personal problems are always the cause.
Massimo Di Gaetano joins the band.
During the last period the band changes his monicker in Deforge,
because the old name is no more representative.
