STILLBIRTH were born in 1997 in Lecco (ITALY) as “CLONING TECHNOLOGY”, following
Mauro (bass) and Lorenzo ’s (rhythm guitar) idea. Pepe (lead guitar), who had previously
played with Mauro with the death metal band PROFANATUM, joined soon after. We play a
classic death metal & our music is influenced by classic heavy metal, industrial, black,
doom, all the kind from the old records (80 ’s). A few drum players and singers
had succeeded until the year 2000 when Andrea (drums) and Grezzo (vocals) joined.
The first concert was at the “Mingus Live” in Bregnano (CO),
in 1998 with Arkenemy were we had a great response by the public and it was a success.
In 1998 we also played at “Arca Live” at Zingonia (BG) with Gory Blister.
We took more than one year to find Andrea, the drummer, and he immediately understood
the spirit of the band and turned out to be a “phenomenon” in no time. Moreover he
introduced the singer (Grezzo) to our group and gave us the opportunity
to get into studio to record. The promo CD was well reviewed by the most important Italian mags,
zines & web-zines. At the moment Luca is our new drummer, for sure he helps us to do a
quality jump in technical way.
