Summoner start in January 2001, after the
Death Seagull’s Scream dissolution, where Giorgio, at guitar,
Stefano keyboard’s man, and Massimo, the drummer, had joined
together the first time to walk in melodic death metal land.
The powerful aggressive guitar
works melted with the keys dark melodic atmosphere, the strong and
speed rhythmic sessions - line up completed discovering Luca at bass
- the violence and desperation of the singer took fast shape in a
personal style, certainly influenced by Children Of Bodom,
Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth, with a mix of the different music experiences.
Then Summoner
have built in a short time, working hardly together, a rich
directory of songs, talking in their lyrics of an ancient and
lost world breaked out from oblivium of time. Since May 2001 they
begun to played into pubs and local clubs, focalizing, in their
live performance at Cermenate Metal Night, the attention
of Lacuna Coil, who asked them to support two dates
of their italian tour. In September they shared the
stage of Motorock AS with Arkenemy, and then brought
their music at the Transilvania of Como and in some othe
r pubs between Milano and Varese. In October Summoner were
ready to start the work to release of their first four pieces
demo, finished to record at
Media Sound Studio in January, titled Summoner Sign...
So they are now going to spread the wings of the Summoner, the
mythological and obscure damned vampiry who throned in the art
book, everywhere, to give voice to a never asked gift rising
from a mysterious world.
